Meet the Founder
Event Architect was founded by Emelia Winnig, a Vancouver-based event strategist and hospitality professional specializing in conference production, corporate events, and milestone celebrations.
With more than a decade of experience across hospitality and large-scale event production, Emelia brings a rare blend of operational precision and creative event design to every project. Her career began in Vancouver’s hospitality industry, contributing to the opening and operations of marquee venues including Parq Vancouver Casino, Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar at the Sutton Place Hotel, and Fanny Bay Oyster Bar. Working alongside some of the city’s leading hospitality teams shaped her deep understanding of guest experience, service standards, and the choreography required to deliver exceptional events.
She later served as Maître d’ and Lead Supervisor with Canucks Sports & Entertainment at Rogers Arena, overseeing premium hospitality operations within the members-only Premium Loge Clubs. In this role, she managed VIP guest experiences for corporate leaders and high-net-worth clients during large-scale NHL events, and was recognized with the Canucks DREAM Award for Respect in Leadership in 2024.
Emelia also spent several years leading events and sponsorship for a major regional construction association in Vancouver, delivering a portfolio of more than 35 events annually. During this time, she built deep relationships across the construction and infrastructure sector, a network she continues to support today.
Through Event Architect, Emelia now partners with organizations and industry leaders to design and produce conferences, awards galas, and executive gatherings. Her recent work includes supporting Infrastructure BC’s inaugural Collaborative Contracting Conference and producing large-scale industry events such as the Future of Work conference with Pitt Meadows Plumbing.
Known for her calm leadership style and meticulous planning, she specializes in creating thoughtfully designed events where every detail supports a larger story.
Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Event Architect works with organizations across Canada and North America to deliver events that bring people together and move ideas forward.
